Treating Trauma and Opioids

This year's Fall Trauma Conference will provide professionals, students and interested people a day-long exploration that aims to dispel myths about opioids, people who misuse them, and the systems that both prohibit and promote them. Featured Presentation speaker Dan Press will be discussing recent legislation focused on the “opioid epidemic,” and a select group of treatment specialists will be giving practitioners hands-on, practical approaches to working with clients who struggle with trauma and PTSD and/or opioid misuse or other unsafe behaviors. This conference is a necessary sober investigation into the real struggles of addressing pain, both emotional and physical, in our society today.
